Police: Juveniles rob man and run right into 150 police officers at Henninger High School
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – According to police, two juveniles who decided to rob a man literally ran right to officers on patrol outside of Henninger High School for the president’s speech.
Syracuse Police say the two kids assaulted the man and knocked him to the ground before stealing his iPod and headphones.
When they took off though, they headed in the wrong direction according to police.
"Unfortunately for them, they ran towards Henninger High School, which has approximately 150 police officers surrounding the area for the arrival of the president,” said Sergeant Tom Connellan with the Syracuse Police Department.
Police say all officers in the area had a description of the pair and knew who they were looking for.
The two juveniles are being held at Hillbrook Detention Center.
