Police: Oneida County man arrested for drunk driving after he hit and killed dog with car
Vernon (WSYR-TV) - A Vernon man is facing drinking and driving charges after State Police say he hit and killed a dog with his car.
Troopers say it happened on Graves Road in the town of Vernon on Wednesday night.
State Police say a woman was walking her dog on the shoulder of the road, when she noticed a car coming towards her.
The woman told police she waved her arms to get the driver to slow down, but he hit and killed the dog.
The driver was later identified as 39-year-old Micah Wilson, who also lives on Graves Road.
Wilson was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Injury to an Animal.
He's was remanded to Oneida County Jail on $1,000 bond.
