Onondaga County (WSYR-TV) -- Four teens were robbed at gunpoint during an apparent drug deal Sunday night in the 7600 block of Morgan Road, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
Three suspects – two 17 year olds and a 16-year-old – have been arrested in connection with the robbery.
Those charged include: 17-year-old Dylan Acord, of Mott Road; 17-year-old Thomas J. Colon, of State Fair Boulevard and 16-year-old Jonas Hauswirth, of Seneca Beach Drive. Each has been charged with robbery and criminal use of a firearm in connection with the robbery.
Authorities say the teens were robbed at an apartment complex on Morgan Road during a drug deal involving marijuana. The victims told deputies that they agreed to meet the suspects in the parking and were sitting in their car when the suspects blocked them in and displayed an AR-15 rifle.
After getting their car stuck in the mud, the suspects were forced to flee on foot and were located shortly after police arrived on the scene.
Deputies say they recovered the AR-15 .22 caliber rifle used during the incident.
Acord, Colon and Hauswirth are scheduled to return to court on January 18.
