Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police have released the identity of a man who suffered serious head injuries when his bicycle was struck in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday.

On Saturday, William Fischer, 37, of Syracuse, was taken to Upstate University Hospital after being struck on the 200 block of Robinson Street. He is still listed in critical condition.

Police have not located the driver who struck him. The vehicle was described as a black colored SUV – possibly a Jeep or Land Rover – with white license plates. The person behind the wheel was reportedly a black teenage male.

Police say the vehicle should have minor damage to the front passenger-side bumper or the front passenger-side quarter panel.

Anyone with information on the incident should call police at (315) 442-5151.
