Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police have arrested a North Side woman who they say stabbed her husband several times in the chest.

Police say 50-year-old Lisa Brunelli stabbed 48-year-old Joe Clark in the chest during an argument at their apartment at 306 Sunset Ave.

Brunelli was arrested for assault in the second degree.

Clark was taken to Upstate University Hospital. His injuries were serious, but police said they do not consider them life threatening.

The couple was babysitting their 5-year-old grandchild when the incident occurred. Police say the child was not injured and was turned over to other family members.

Brunelli was scheduled to be arraigned in Syracuse City Court on Thursday morning.
