Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police are investigating a series of burglaries that occurred over the weekend in the city’s Armory Square area.

The businesses were broken into on Saturday, Nov. 24:
  • Elsbeth Rose, 191 Walton St. – Money stolen from cash register
  • Starbucks, 290 W. Jefferson St. – A laptop computer was stolen
  • The Blue Tusk, 165 Walton St. – alarm system ripped out of wall
  • The Lemon Grass restaurant, 238 W. Jefferson St. – no known losses
A surveillance camera in the area captured a black male with a goatee on tape. The suspect was wearing a brown, puffy coat with a red hooded sweatshirt underneath.

The hood was pulled over his head. He was also wearing low-top black sneakers with white along the bottoms and a white Nike symbol.

Police said the video will not be released presently.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call 442-5222.
