Police investigate two shootings on Syracuse’s West Side

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred just blocks away from each other on the city’s West Side Monday night.

Police say 23-year-old Gregory M. Darrain, of Syracuse, was shot in the upper left thigh and was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Moments later, a few blocks away, police say 20-year-old Demetrius Glibert, also of Syracuse, was shot in the leg.

Neither suspect provided much information regarding the shootings, police said.

An investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to give them a call at 442-5222.
