Canastota (WSYR-TV) – State Police are investigating a possible meth lab in the town of Canastota on Thursday, while the US Attorney’s Office has announced that a convicted drug dealer out on parole has been taken into custody.
State Police are on the scene of the alleged methamphetamine manufacturing facility on Pine Ridge Road.
According to the US Attorney’s Office, 29-year-old Casey Spadter has been charged with various drug crimes including dealing meth and possession of ingredients and equipment used in meth manufacturing.
If convicted, he faces a potential maximum term of imprisonment of 30 years, at least six years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $2 million, the US Attorney’s office said.
Spadter is currently on parole for a felony drug conviction. In 2010, Spadter was convicted of manufacturing meth.
He is scheduled to appear in Federal court.
