Solvay (WSYR-TV) – Police in Solvay are looking for a man who robbed a bank Thursday morning and claimed he had a gun.
The Solvay Bank branch in Geddes Plaza on Charles Ave. was robbed shortly before 9 a.m., according to village police.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’7” and 30 years old, with dreadlocks and a mustache or goatee. He was last seen wearing a dark winter hat, dark glasses with white or silver trim, a grey hooded sweatshirt with stripes on the pockets, and blue jeans.
Police say he handed a teller a note stating that he had a gun and demanded money, but did not show a weapon.
It’s not known how much money the suspect took.
He was last seen heading west on Charles Ave. toward West Genesee St.
