Cortland (WSYR-TV) -- Cortland City Police have made a second arrest in connection with a brutal assault last weekend.
The victim, 25-year-old Robert Miller, suffered a severe head injury during the assault and remains in critical condition at the hospital, according to police. The incident occurred in Cortland at 64 Main St. at around 12:42 Saturday morning.
Police arrested 22-year-old Marcus J. Delige on Wednesday in connection with the case.
An investigation has revealed that Delige and Kaywon L. Pittman were part of a large group of people who planned the assault on Miller.

Delige has been charged with gang assault in the 1st degree, assault in the second degree and conspiracy in the fourth degree.
Delige is being held at the Cortland County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond. He’s set to appear in court on August 3.
