Utica (WSYR-TV) – A Utica man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he sexually assaulted and attacked his ex-girlfriend in her home.
According to police, they responded to a domestic incident around 4 a.m. in Kennedy Plaza and found an injured woman.
She told police that her ex-boyfriend had entered her home and cut her with a knife. She also told them that the man punched her.
When she tried to call police, he allegedly broke her phone, before sexually assaulting her and threatening her life.
Police say the suspect passed out, enabling the woman to escape the residence and call police.
A Fugitive Task Force arrested Marquis Boykin on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old Utica man was charged with aggravated criminal contempt, assault in the second degree, and criminal sex act in the first degree, all felonies; as well as menacing in the second degree, a misdemeanor.
