Syracuse, New York (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are trying to find the man who raped a 19-year-old woman behind a home near the corner of West Onondaga and Tallman Streets early Saturday morning. Police are also looking for a couple that drove the victim to the hospital.
The woman was raped around 3 AM Saturday morning. Police say the 19-year-old was walking from the east side of the city to the south side of the city, when she was stopped by a man near the corner of West Onondaga and Tallman.
The man allegedly started a conversation with her, attacked her, then dragged her behind a house and raped her.
The victim was eventually able to escape, and was driven to the hospital by an “older” African American couple that saw her in the street.
The attacker is described as a heavyset hispanic man in his 20’s, clean shaven, who was wearing a white t-shirt, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and dark pants.
