Cortlandville (WSYR-TV) -- An employee of Ponderosa Steak House in the town of Cortlandville was arrested after allegedly threatening a patron with a knife Thursday night.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Virgil C. Brown after the alleged incident at around 6:30 p.m.
Authorities say Brown obtained a butcher knife from the kitchen area of the restaurant and had threatened the patron after an argument.
Brown surrendered the knife without incident when officers arrived on the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
No one was hurt.
Brown has been charged with the following:
- Criminal Possession of a weapon 3rd degree Class "D" Felony
- Menacing 2nd degree, Class "A" Misdemeanor
- Harassment 2nd degree, Violation
Brown is being held at the Cortland County Jail as he awaits his arraignment.
