Porter Elementary students participate in mock presidential debate

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse students from Porter Elementary School held a mock presidential debate on Friday. The students say it was good practice for when they can vote themselves in about six years.

And though they’re not officially old enough to vote, their voice will be heard – at school anyway.

The students had to register to vote and will have to bring their registration with them to vote in the mock election at school on Election Day.
