Portion of I-690 West reopens to traffic

A section of I-690 East that will be closed Friday at 9 a.m. through Monday at Noon. The state recommends using Erie Blvd. as a detour. (NewsChannel 9 WSYR)

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A portion of I-690 Westbound originally set to re-open at noon Monday has reopened, according to the State Department of Transportation.

The DOT said construction required the additional closure period.

I-690 Westbound from the Thompson Road exit to the Teall Avenue exit has been closed since Friday morning.
