(WSYR
-TV, Syracuse) Low pressure moving north of Lake Ontario will make for wet weather into this afternoon. A cold front is forecast to slide through CNY
this afternoon. As it the front closes in and works through the region, we cannot rule out briefly heavy rain and the possibility of a thunderstorm. By mid to late afternoon the steadiest of the rain will shift east of Syracuse. However, by that point most spots across central New York will be over an inch of rain since last evening and some places will be pushing an inch and a half.
With light winds and a wet ground, fog is possible tonight. The threat for showers will stay with us tomorrow and Thursday. Although, instead of all day rain, we should see some rain-free periods and even some limited sun.
