Remembrance Mass in honor of Conn. shooting victims held at Bishop Ludden

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Students and staff at Bishop Ludden Junior/Senior High School gathered for a special remembrance Mass on Thursday.

The Mass was held to commemorate the victims in last week’s deadly shooting incident at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Last Friday, a gunman forced his way into the Conn. school and killed 26 people, including 20 students.

Father Dan Muscalino celebrated the Mass.

“A chord was touched in every person who lives in this country and all over the world and we believe prayer is the appropriate response to tragedy in our world,” said the pastor of St. Francis Xavier in Marcellus.

All of the attendants took a moment of silence to remember those who lost their lives.
