Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police took a bank robbery suspect into custody on Monday morning shortly after responding to the scene.

They charged Arthur Bundrage, 28, of Kinne Street, East Syracuse, with grand larceny in the fourth degree.

According to police, Bundrage walked up to a teller at the Alliance Bank location at the intersection of James and Oak streets and demanded $20,000.

The teller said no, but the suspect demanded the money again and the teller handed cash over to him.

The suspect left the bank and personnel called 911.

According to police, Bundrage realized he didn't have the $20,000 he had demanded and he returned to the bank.

Police arrested him trying to get back into the bank through the front door.
