Rochester bicylcist dies after hitting vehicle during Musselman Triathlon
Varick, NY(WSYR-TV) - A Rochester man is dead after State Police said he hit a vehicle during the Musselman Triathlon race on Saturday morning.
Police said the incident happened as 38-year-old Michael Coyle was riding his bicycle southbound on State Route 96A in the Seneca County town of Varick near Seneca Lake State Park.
Coyle rode into the back of a vehicle that was parked on the shoulder of the road after it had run out of gas.
Coyle was taken to Geneva General Hospital where he died from his injuries in the crash.
