Rome man charged with arson
Rome (WSYR-TV) – A man has been charged with arson less than a month after emergency personnel responded to a Rome home that was fully engulfed in flame.
According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies, they found 59-year-old Ronald Lamascolo inside the burning residence at 8491 Elmer Hill Rd. when they arrived at the scene. The man was inside the building while it burned. He was injured during the incident and then taken to the hospital.
Sheriff’s Investigators charged Lamascolo with felony arson. He was arraigned in City of Rome Court and taken to Oneida County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
