Route 13 in DeRuyter open after crash
DeRuyter (WSYR-TV – State Route 13 in DeRuyter has reopened after a Monday evening crash shut it down overnight.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office reopened the road around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Around 6 p.m. on Monday, a car crashed into a utility pole along the road, leaving the pole and its wires blocking the highway near the intersection with Carey Road.
Investigators say no one was seriously hurt in the crash.
National Grid sent two crews to the scene.
The Sheriff's Office also reported that power was out in the village of DeRuyter extending south into part of the Cortland County Town of Cuyler, and east of the village to the area of Quaker Basin.
