Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Crews are working on the bridge carrying Route 370 traffic over the Seneca River and it is expected to be closed until Monday morning.
The work began Friday morning and requires the bridge to be fully-closed.
The bridge is expected to open again to signal controlled alternating traffic on the morning of Monday, Sept. 30.
During the closure period, all traffic will be directed along the following detour routes:
Eastbound (Baldwinsville to Liverpool): From Route 370, turn north onto NY 631 (the Baldwinsville bypass), turn right onto NY 31, turn right onto Onondaga County Route 57, then turn right onto John Glenn Blvd, returning to Route 370.
Westbound (Liverpool to Baldwinsville): Turn right or continue onto John Glenn Blvd, turn left onto Onondaga County Route 57, turn left onto NY 31, then turn left onto NY 631, returning to Route 370.
Local traffic will be permitted on Route 370 in both directions on the west side of the river between NY 631 and Hayes Road.
The DOT says the closure is for the second of two concrete deck pours for the bridge and is very weather dependent, so closures times may vary.
