Rumors are swirling that the new iPhone will be available in more colors, offer an improved camera, or be cheaper in price than previous models and have much faster computing power.
The most interesting rumor perhaps is the fingerprint sensor, in which a person could have the ability to lock and unlock their phone using a fingerprint identification system.
The announcement is scheduled for Tuesday at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., at 1 p.m. eastern time.
