Runners ticketed for jogging in closed national park
Valley Forge, Pennsylvania (WSYR-TV/CNN) - Dozens of people participated in a protest run through Valley Forge National Historic Park in Pennsylvania on Sunday.
The park was closed due to the government shutdown.
Several running groups took part in what some called a "Patriot Run" to call attention to the shutdown.
Organizers put together the event after runners were ticketed for jogging through the closed park near Philadelphia.
The tickets were for allegedly violating the closure order and parking in the closed park. The tickets cost each runner $100.
