Liverpool (WSYR-TV) – Throughout Onondaga County, an all out search is underway for a tiny white disk that could be worth as much as $2,000.
People have been searching high and low for the Winterfest Medallion for the past week. It’s all in good fun, but sometimes serious business too, as people try to throw others off the trail.
Clues are listed daily in the paper and people head out looking in trees, under benches and anywhere they think they’ll find the medallion.
A couple people thought they found it, but it turned out they had only found a poker chip and an old coffee lid.
The daily clues are leading the young and old to public parks throughout the county. It’s all in the name of getting outside, getting some exercise and maybe winning some cash.
At last check, the Medallion is still out there somewhere. The grand prize is $1,000; $2,000 if you get the daily paper.
