Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Senate leaders announced on Wednesday that a deal had been reached to end the partial government shutdown.
The deal will keep the government funded through Jan. 15, and extend the debt limit ceiling until Feb. 7.
According to ABC News
, the proposal will require income verification for people receiving health insurance premium subsidies from the federal government and ensure that the Treasury Department has the authority to use "extraordinary measures" to extend temporarily the debt limit, if necessary.
