Services set for former soldier killed in Afghanistan

Fulton (WSYR-TV) -- The city of Fulton is preparing to say goodbye to a former soldier who died in Afghanistan about a week ago.

Chad Kelly, 30, a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School and SUNY Oswego, served in Iraq from August 2007 to October 2008 and received three Army Commendation Medals for his service. He was currently working overseas for MaCaulay-Brown, Incorporated.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday at Foster Funeral Home on Fay Street in Fulton. Funeral Services are set for Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Fulton.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to the “Wounded Warrior Project,” P.O. Box 758-517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
