Fleming (WSYR-TV) -- Twenty animals, including seven dogs and 14 birds, were removed from a home on Justin Drive in the town of Fleming on Friday.
SPCA officials say the animals were living in deplorable conditions and were not let outside. Feces and urine was found throughout the home, officials said.
The dogs have since been taken in by the SPCA of Finger Lakes and the birds have been taken to Beverly Animal Shelter in Waterloo.
A number of feral and stray cats were also living at the house.
The homeowner, Linda Edersheim, has not yet been charged.
This is not Edersheim’s first run-in with the SPCA. Back in 2003, 40 animals were taken away from her by the SPCA.
