Auburn (WSYR-TV) - American flags line the walkway to the historic Seward House in hopes that the President's bus tour stops at its front door.
“We're very hopeful and fingers crossed that President Obama will come to the Seward House, but we feel very confident that he is coming to Auburn, New York and that is wonderful for this community,” said Billye Chabot with the Seward House Museum.
If President Obama decides to stop at the Seward House, he will be the seventh president to do so, with the last one being President Clinton in the late 1990s.
For past presidents, the Seward House didn't have much time to prepare.
People at the Seward House only had a 90-minute notice before former President Clinton arrived.
The Seward House says it's always ready to welcome another historical moment and will be available anytime for President Obama.
