Sex offender busted for setting up Facebook account without telling cops

Oswego (WSYR-TV) – A registered sex offender living in Mexico was charged with two felonies after he failed to tell the Oswego County Sheriff's Office that he had set up Facebook accounts without telling the authorities.

Kenneth Shepard, 59, of 51 Lilly Marsh Rd., was charged with sex offender registry violation and sex offender failure to report change, both class E felonies.

Shepard was arraigned in Town of Volney Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to Town of New Haven Court on Oct. 3.
