Sex offender sentenced to six years probation

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- A level 3 sex offender and former worker for the Syracuse Department of Public Works was sentenced to six years probation on Friday.

Syracuse Police say on at least three occasions, 45-year-old Mark Carrigan picked up a 15-year-old male in his car and engaged in oral sex.

Carrigan was previously convicted for having sex with a 15-year-old boy and failing to register as a sex offender.

In addition to serving six years probation, Carrigan will remain a level 3 sex offender.
