Shafer decides on starting quarterback, won’t reveal until season opener
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The first official game week has arrived for the Syracuse University football team and Head Coach Scott Shafer says he has decided who his starting quarterback will be.
Shafer says he made decision this weekend and it came down to Senior Drew Allen and Sophomore Terrell Hunt.
He has informed his players of the pick but he will not be informing anyone else as he doesn't want to give Penn State any sort of edge in terms of game planning.
You can watch the season opener versus Peen State on ABC.
Kickoff will be at a 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and you can catch Orange Nation coverage from MetLife Stadium beginning Friday night.
