Salina (WSYR-TV) – The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating vandalism at a little league field that organizers say caused $1,500 worth of damage.

The damage occurred last week at Duerr Park.

Dugouts were torn down and some property appears to have been burned.

The electrical system was torn out of a scoreboard and a security light was also broken.

Liverpool Little League organizers say the vandalism ruined eight weeks of planning and work.

They were not sure how the damage would affect the league’s season.

Anyone with information that could relate to the investigation can call the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office's tip line at (315) 435-3051.
