Skaneateles swindler taken into custody
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A former Skaneateles car dealer who defrauded numerous customers and neighbors is in police custody.
According to the office of Judge Anthony Aloi, Pat Bombard failed to return money he swindled out of an elderly neighbor – a violation of his probation.
They said Bombard had not shown that he had taken steps to return the money he owed to Erma Jerva.
In April 2011, Bombard admitted that he stole $50,000 from the woman.
He pleaded guilty to grand larceny and offering a false instrument for filing.
Bombard also pleaded guilty to felony scheme to defraud in several instances in which he stole from customers at his auto dealership.
The Skaneateles man has been at the center of numerous investigations since 2009.
