Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Social Security checks will go electronic beginning this Friday.
If you currently receive paper Social Security checks, you will need to have them directly deposited into an existing bank account.
If you do not have a bank account, you can sign up for what’s called the “Direct Express Card.” You can use the card like a regular debit card wherever MasterCard is accepted.
