Auburn (WSYR-TV) – Cayuga County has lifted its state-of-emergency status.

The county put the state of emergency into effect on Monday as a severe storm event, then classified as Hurricane Sandy, hovered just off the East Coast.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office also issued a travel advisory around the same time. That advisory was lifted early Tuesday morning.

NewsChannel 9’s Storm Team says there is still a wind advisory in effect throughout Central New York.
