Syracuse, New York (WSYR-TV) - We're in the midst of graduation season in Central New York, as high school students take the next step. Some will go on to college, while others will try to join the ranks of the working world.
This afternoon, students at West Genesee High School stepped across the stage in cap and gown, and accepted their diploma's for four years of hard work.
For Taryn White, those four years have gone by extremely fast and she feels like she was a little girl just yesterday.
White is headed to Hobart and William Smith College, where she will major in Biology.
Graduation ceremonies are set for next week for many others schools across Onondaga County. Nottingham High School will hold their commencement ceremony on Wednesday, while Corcoran High will hold their ceremony on Thursday. Both will be held at the Civic Center in downtown Syracuse.
"It's surprising, it went so fast and it feels like we were just in kindergarten and getting off the bus. I'm excited though."
