Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse Police have charged a suspect in the murder of a 65-year-old man in his West Kennedy Street home.

Police say Jerry Crosby, 30, of Syracuse, killed 65-year-old Jerry Mack two weeks ago.

Crosby has been charged with murder, robbery, burglary and criminal possession of a weapon.

Mack was killed on October 19 after several men broke into his home. Police say Mack’s 7-year-old son was home during the incident but was picked up by a “good Samaritan” and taken to his grandmother’s home.

Crosby is being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.

Police encourage anyone with additional information on this murder to call them at 315-442-5222.
