Swan egg smasher to spend weekends in jail for the next month
Manlius (WSYR-TV) -- The Jamesville man who admitted to stealing and smashing swan eggs from the Swan Pond in Manlius will spend weekends in jail for the next month.
At his sentencing hearing on Thursday, 23-year-old Ross Leon pleaded guilty to criminal mischief. He also apologized for stealing and smashing the swan eggs.
In addition to jail time, Leon was ordered to pay $2,800 in restitution and will be on probation for the next three years.
