Syracuse Police find $40k worth of crack cocaine on traffic stop

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police say a traffic stop led them to one pound of crack cocaine and a loaded semi-automatic handgun early Saturday morning.

Around 1:45 a.m., officers noticed an illegally parked Lincoln Aviator on in in the 500 block of Richmond Avenue.

When they approached, they smelt marijuana coming from inside the car with four occupants.

The investigation led them to the crack cocaine, worth $40,000 and the loaded semi-automatic gun.

Four people were arrested and charged with felony criminal possesion of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon:

34-year old Sadiyq Issac of Syracuse.
29-year old James Caesar of Syracuse
25-year old Tony Brown of Syracuse
28-year old Jamiah Bowens of Liverpool

Isaac and Bowens were also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

All four were sent to the Justice Center and will be arraigned Saturday.
