SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Investigators are looking into two strong armed robberies that happened early Sunday morning.
Around 2:30 a.m, a 50-year old woman was walking on Spencer Street near North State Street, when she heard someone running up behind her. She turned around as the suspects tried to grab her purse. There was a small struggle and the woman was shoved to the ground, as the suspect got away with her purse.
Police say the suspect got into a white four door sedan with black stripes.
He is described as a white male, 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 250 pounds. He has dark hair with long side burns and a goatee and was wearing a white tank top and white cargo shorts.
Earlier in the morning, around 1:45, another strong armed robbery was reported on the 600 block of Park Street.
A 28-year old man was riding his bike, when he was approached by two suspects. Investigators say he was punched in the face and the suspects took off with the man's bike toward Schneider Street.
The suspects are described as black males in their 20's. No further description was provided by the victim.
