Syracuse Police investigate shooting

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Police are investigating a shooting incident in the 600 block of West Onondaga Street around 11:15 Sunday morning.

They say a 54-year old man got into an argument with the suspect, a 74-year old man. That's when the suspect retrieved his shotgun and fired three rounds at the victim.

Luckily, the gun was loaded with birdshot ammunition, which hit the victim but did not go through his leather jacket. The victim was not hurt.

Investigators are still looking for the suspect who was last seen in a red Chevrolet Trail Blazer.

The weapon used in the shooting was found at the scene.
