Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred after midnight on the city’s South Side.

The first incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. on the 2200 block of South State Street near the intersection with McKinley Avenue.

RayQuan Hudson, 24, of Syracuse was shot in the right ankle during the incident and was taken to Upstate University Hospital. Bullets also struck a parked vehicle and a house. Police recovered multiple shell casings and are looking for a black male who left the scene in a gray vehicle.

The second incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue when Terry Linden and Jovaehn Pringle were both shot in their lower legs. Police say the victims have been “highly uncooperative” in helping their investigation. Police believe the victims were playing a dice game on the north side of the Southwest Community Center when a gunman emerged from Lincoln Avenue and fired shots at them. The victims were taken to Upstate University Hospital. Neither of the victims appear to have life threatening injuries.

Police do not believe the incidents are related.
