Syracuse Police investigating shooting at North Side market
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police say they are investigating a shooting that occurred at a market on the city’s North Side.
Police say the shooting happened at about 8:25 p.m. at Johnny’s Market, located at 1012 Park St. on Wednesday.
Police say 25-year-old employee was inside the store when he heard a shot and felt a burning in his rear shoulder area.
The victim did not notice anyone outside the store at the time of the shooting, according to police.
Officers say they located a bullet hole in the front window of the store, and do not know if he was an intended target or if he was struck by a stray bullet.
The man was transported to Upstate University Hospital with a non life threatening injury.
