Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A
Syracuse firefighter who has been accused in a fraud scheme has been suspended by the department.
Lotan Mitchell
was charged with three others last week for allegedly stealing $38,000 in merchandise from the Bridge Street Home Depot.
According to police, the suspects then returned the items in exchange for gift cards.
Mitchell, 30, was suspended with pay after he was arrested on Friday.
The fire department is investigating the claims.
