Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police have arrested a man who they say robbed an M&T Bank on Onondaga Boulevard and who they suspect robbed an Alliance Bank location on James Street.
David Travers, 22, who is listed as homeless, has been charged with one count of robbery in the third degree. The charge stems from the M&T robbery, which occurred on Monday, Dec. 19. During that robbery, police say Travers handed a note to a teller demanding money.
He was scheduled to be arraigned in Syracuse City Court on Thursday.
Police also suspect Travers in the Dec. 13 robbery at Alliance Bank. Charges stemming from that investigation are pending while forensic tests are conducted.
Police declined to provide a mugshot of Travers, citing the ongoing investigation.
