Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police have arrested a suspect who they say killed a man whose body was found in the backyard of a residence on Furman Avenue on Saturday.
Police have charged Demetrius Huddleston of Fage Avenue in Syracuse with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
They initially arrested Huddleston on Wednesday on a misdemeanor drug possession charge for cocaine.
Police believe
Huddleston killed 37-year-old Jermaine Whitehead.
He was arraigned in Syracuse City Court on Thursday morning and taken to jail without bail.
They scheduled a 3 p.m. press conference to address their investigation into the homicide.
