Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Syracuse man pleaded guilty to charges that he robbed two banks nearly one year ago.

David Travers, 23, admitted that he robbed an Alliance Bank branch on James Street and an M&T Bank branch on Onondaga Boulevard in December 2011.

In both robberies, he wore a mask covering half of his face and handed store personnel a note demanding money.

Travers escaped with $1,850 from the Alliance Bank robbery and $629 from the M&T bank heist.

He could go to prison for a maximum of 20 years.

Syracuse Police arrested him on Dec. 22, 2011.
