Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- A Syracuse man has admitted to credit card fraud.
When agents searched Kareem Highsmith’s home last year, they found that he had equipment used to create fake credit cards and had almost 400 account numbers that didn’t belong to him.
Back in 2011, police say Highsmith used a counterfeit credit card to buy items at Wegmans in Fayetteville and Price Chopper in Syracuse.
In a four day period, investigators say he racked up more than $5,000 using the card.
Highsmith will be sentenced in June. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison. He will be sentenced in June.
