Syracuse man pleads guilty to robbing delivery truck driver at knifepoint for can of soda
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Syracuse man could face 15 years in prison after he admitted that he robbed a delivery truck driver at knifepoint for a can of soda while high on crack.
Brian Lamont Roberts, 54, pleaded guilty in federal court on Friday.
The incident occurred at the VA Hospital in Syracuse in February 2012.
Roberts admitted that he was high on crack cocaine and alcohol during the robbery.
He has been in prison and undergone drug and alcohol treatment since the incident. A judge ordered that the treatment should continue.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 13.
